In light of the exceptional situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the management teams of the European cooperation projects Visit Rio Minho and Smart Minho – which bring together various public administrations from Galicia and Portugal* – along with the AECT Rio Minho, a European territorial cooperation entity comprising the Provincial Council of Pontevedra and the CIM Alto Minho, wish to make a joint appeal for solidarity and responsibility during these difficult times for the population on both sides of the River Minho, and to continue observing confinement measures until the risk of contagion has passed.
Although physically separated by a border that has reappeared after 25 years, now more than ever we are united at heart and feel that we are one people facing adversity together.
Over the coming weeks we will continue working remotely and will remain at your disposal through our usual channels: our email addresses riominho.interreg@depo.es and geral@aectriominho.eu; the office phone number 886 210 280; our websites smartminho.eu and visitriominho.eu; and our social media platforms.
With best wishes and strength in these difficult times, which we will overcome together.
